As one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, Corfu boasts an abundance of fantastic bars to choose from across the island. Whether you’re looking for the lively atmosphere of a nightclub, or a cocktail with a view, you’ll truly be spoilt for choice. We’ve curated a list of the best beach bars in Corfu, in order to make deciding where to go that little bit easier.
Ark kitchen bar corfu:
Situated on the west coast of the island, overlooking Agios Gordis Beach, Arkbar beach resort is the perfect destination to kick back on a sun lounger, cocktail in hand, whilst watching a stunning sunset over the Ionian sea. If you’re looking for something a little more substantial than the delicious snacks offered down on the beach, there are laid tables on the terrace where you can dine on modern Greek cuisine. Whatever you choose, you will be served by some of the friendliest staff you can find. The bar also boasts an indoor seated space with screens that are used to play sports. There really is something here for everyone.
Nagual Beach Bar:
Set overlooking Kontogialos beach, on the west of the island, Nagual Beach Bar is a beautiful bar with minimalist style deco. Arkbar, Nagual offers sun loungers from early morning, for you to relax on the beach whilst the staff serve you cocktails and light snacks. The bartenders here are nothing short of fantastic. There are thirteen unique cocktails served exclusively at Nagual Beach Bar. If cocktails aren’t your thing, they also offer a selection of fine wines, beers ,coffee and fresh juices. This isn’t simply a beach bar, there is also a restaurant providing Mediterranean cuisine made using from organic products from small, local producers.
Fuego Beach Bar:
Fuego Beach Bar can be found in the north of the island, on Acharavi beach, just a stone’s throw from the water front. Popular with both tourists and locals alike, this beach bar has two large areas with plenty of space to sit back and relax. A live DJ sets the ambience, making it the perfect place for a social gathering. Fuego also offers an extensive brunch, lunch and dinner menu, but we mostly recommend it as a place to enjoy cocktails and the beautiful view. An additional bonus is that there is a parking lot situated behind the bar for the use of customers.
Wave Beach Bar:
Located in the south of Corfu on Marathias beach, this is the best beach bar for partying with a view! Wave Beach Bar regularly host wonderful parties with DJs from across Greece and all around the world. Every Saturday, after sunset, they run a shisha night. It’s worth checking their Facebook for regular updates on events. Like our other recommendations, Wave Beach Bar offers a range of delicious cocktails as well snacks for you to enjoy. However, we would say that this bar is better for drinks and partying than it is for food.
La Grotta Bar:
La Grotta is a little different from our other recommendations due to its location. This pick is located in the North West of the island in Paleokastritsa, and it is worth visiting for the view alone. Whilst out other best beach bar selections are situated on sandy beaches, La Grotta has been built into a cave in a beautiful bay, 142 steps down the cliffside. In the late 1960s, the Rizos hotelier family decided to develop the cave into the bar that exists there today. It looks out over deep, crystal clear blue waters, making it a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a drink and a swim (with the added bonus of a diving board)! A DJ plays a carefully curated selection of music throughout the day, creating a the perfect ambience to chill. We really can’t praise this spot highly enough and suggest you fit it into your itinerary when visiting Corfu.
The combination of fantastic service, great drinks and a beautiful view is what really makes our five recommendations stand out. With each pick offering something a little different, there is no doubt that there is something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a party, or to chill with a cocktail whilst watching the sunset, our recommendations for the best cocktail bars in Corfu will have you covered.
